The IIHS, or Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, has named ten Toyota models as Top Safety Pick Award recipients for 2012. With more Top Safety Picks this year than any other manufacturer, we have great confidence in the fact that we're selling the safest cars to ME Toyota lovers.

The IIHS, is an independent non-profit organization that dedicates itself to reducing losses from crashes on the nation's highways. The losses they analyze pertain to both human losses in the form of death or injury, or economic losses such as damage to property. In evaluating each vehicle, the IIHS assigns a rating of good, acceptable, marginal or poor based on performance in a number of high-speed crash tests. To earn the Top Safety Pick for 2012, a vehicle must receive a score of "Good" in each of the following tests: front and side crash tests, a rollover crash test, and evaluations of seat and head restraints in rear-impact crash tests.
